
how to organize a Diet journal?
i just bought a notebook today and i got a gym membership. whats a good way to keep track of what i eat and how much i exercise in an organized way??
4 stages (depends on how detailed you want it):
# split your page in 2 columns
# split the colums into 2 columns again, making sure the right hand side ones are a smaller proportion. so it goes big, small, big, small.
# Need to note down cals in gym. This can be hard if your doing weights.(P.S do them……they are good) But you can find good websites which will tell you how much your buring. Write down the activity and the cals burned.
# Same thing with food, write down what you eat and cals. Find a site which will tell you the nutritional information. If you eat out, then most restaurants have their information online anyways. If you wanted to go hard core, note down all of the nutritional information.
this is all assuming that you know your BMR and allowable calories and stuff.
it would be easier to make rough notes and then put it on to excel……calculates things for you.
But im just an excel geek lol.
